The H2U Chapter at Capital Regional Medical Center is now offering a
FREE Class Series to its members! Join us each month to learn more about
topics such as Scrapbooking, Floral Design, Photography, Social
Networking, Online Dating, Genealogy, Writing Your Memoirs, Using A Cell
Phone or GPS, Learning to Skype and much more! Not a H2U member? Join
for annual membership fee of $20 to take advantage of this NEW Class
series.

What is Your Story? Memoir Workshop
Thursday, May 16 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Begin your story using story starters, memory exercises and writing tips
and record the stories of your life one memory at a time! Share your
stories with fellow classmates and have fun! (Held on a different day
this month)
Microsoft Excel 2010: Getting Started
Thursday, May 30 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Learn how to create a custom worksheet and understand how to be more
proficient using features such as: Auto Correct/Auto Fill, Custom
List and Keyboard Shortcuts. Learn basic formulas and functions.
Family Tree Maker 2012 Series
This class is for genealogists who are using Family Tree Maker 2012 for
the first time or who have used another genealogy software and wish to
learn how to use this program. Class will be held on Tuesdays, May 21 -
June 25 (Total of 15 hours). Students should attend all 6 sessions to
complete the class.

FTM 2012: People Workspace Setup your file, add family members and learn
input tips and tricks
Tuesday, May 28, 5:30 - 8:00 p.m.
FTM 2012: Places/Media Workspace Understand place mapping, add photos
and scanned documents.
Tuesday, June 4, 5:30 - 8:00 p.m.
FTM 2012: Media/Sources Workspace Continue adding media and learn how to
document your fact with sources.
Prerequisites: Students must know computer basics including how to
use a mouse and some familiarity with using the Internet and an interest
in family history.
Comprehensive Digital Photography
Workshop
In this class you will learn a basic understanding of a digital camera
from operating tips to maintenance and take a walk-a-bouts to practice!
Discover simple photography concepts: ISO, Aperture, and Shutter Speed
and composition fundamentals. Master downloading pictures from your
camera and save them on your computer, then organize them into folders.
Using an online FREE Photo Editing program you will learn how to do
basic photo editing and enhancements. This class will not cover SLR or
DSLR camera features but students who own a professional series camera
may benefit in learning how to download and organize their photos as
well as learning photo editing. Class will be held on Mondays, May 20 -
July 1 (Total of 15 hours). Students should attend all 6 sessions to
complete the class.

Learn a basic understanding of a digital camera from operating tips to
maintenance. Learn Guidelines for Better Photographic Composition and
take a walk-a-bout to practice!
Monday, May 27, 1:00 - 3:30 p.m. Holiday no class!
Monday, June 3, 1:00 - 3:30 p.m.
Download pictures from your camera and save them on your computer. Take
a walk-a-bout to practice basic camera settings and photo composition!
Prerequisites: Students must know computer basics including how to
use a mouse and some familiarity with using the Internet and an interest
in photography. NOTE: Students will need to bring their digital camera
and USB cord to class.
