The H2U Chapter at Capital Regional Medical Center is now offering a
FREE Class Series to its members! Join us each month to learn more about
topics such as Scrapbooking, Floral Design, Photography, Social
Networking, Online Dating, Genealogy, Writing Your Memoirs, Using A Cell
Phone or GPS, Learning to Skype and much more! Not a H2U member? Join
for annual membership fee of $20 to take advantage of this NEW Class
There will be NO computer classes scheduled
during the summer months. Classes will resume in September. Hope to see you then!

In this class, you'll learn about the Twitter community, Twitter
terminology, and the various ways to interact in the application (such
as #hashtags, @'s, etc). Use the PCs in the lab or bring your Tablet,

Intro to Windows 8 NEW (Two Part Class)
Mondays, September 15 & 22 - 10 AM to 12:30 PM
Did you recently buy a new computer and are feeling frustrated with the
new look? This class will help you adjust to all the changes and feel at
ease and productive with your new computer. Class is intended for
computer users already familiar with windows basics. Attendees must
bring a Windows 8 laptop to participate or you may attend the class and
watch as the instructor demonstrates live on the screen.

Discover Pinterest, learn how to browse pinboards and get inspiration
from people who share your interests. Pin what you love from around the
web, Discover content by browsing interest categories, Explore pins and
boards curated by pinners you follow, Repin, like and comment on your
favorite pins. Use the PCs in the lab or bring your Tablet or Pad.

Learn about the Instagram community and the various ways to interact on
the application (such as #hashtags, @'s, etc). You'll also learn about
the best apps to use for editing and creating unique images, as well as
photo-taking tips. This is a hands on class so bring your Tablet, iPad,
SmartPhone (including charger) and join us!
Getting Started with your iPad
Mondays, Sep. 29, Oct. 6, 13, 20, 27 & Nov. 3 - 10 AM to 12:30 PM
This six week class is for novice users who have an iPad and want to
learn how to use it or become more comfortable with it. We will cover
the essentials: such as how to adjust your settings, download an app,
iMessage a Friend, Email, take a photograph and charge the battery, etc.
We will also cover the most commonly asked questions by new iPad users.
This is a hands on class so bring your iPad (including charger) along
with your Apple ID and password and join us!
Genealogy Geek’s Guide to Google Earth
Monday, September 29 - 1:30 to 4:00 PM
Discover to how to plot homesteads precisely using land patent legal
descriptions. Learn how to interpret the genealogical records you
already have in new and exciting ways using layers, overlays, forensic
analysis, and little known online tech tools. You will be amazed to
discover that Google Earth is one of the best free genealogical tools
available! Students may bring copies of their ancestors land records
and/or their personal laptop to use in class.
